Hi All,

I've heard this thrown around the forums, does anyone know how this is done?(for educational purposes ofcourse)

:D

:)This is why it is best to buy yourself a server from the US/Europe, rent it monthly(you can find some for dirt cheap) use it to download whatever you want via rapidshare/megaupload and then when it is done, you simply download via HTTP direct from that very same server you have rented in US/Europe.

You will reach your max dl speed most of the time and all is good.

^Posted in another thread but, ya this is one of the ways, it is not illegal in anyway shape...at least it shouldn't be. This solution is for those with a little bit extra cash on the side.

Google will know. Personally I haven't really ever wanted to know so yeah :3 Google is the first friend I would check with :3

sure, but it is a direct violation of most of the ISPs' FUP

Makes no sense to me really...what if you are a webmaster who owns the servers and you need to transfer some 'files' back and forth. Oh well, it ain't cheating until you get caught when it comes to the internet.

I would think it's extremely easy for an ISP to see what content you are transferring and determine if you are breaking rules and whatnot.

You'll need to transfer tonnes of stuff that way before your account would be terminated. Web Development usually don't require you to transfer more than 10GB, which is already an absurd amount of video content.

I'm quite sure that they won't terminate your account if you can show them that you used it for work / legitimate use :)

bradrap: they won't know what you're transferring if you're using SSH/HTTPS/any other encrypted protocol for that matter.

^Exactly. I wouldn't advice anyone to download more than 100gig using this method, at least not until the ISP's upgrade their networks...this method is used all-over the world but lets NOT reveal too much to these ISP's, they might figure a way to defeat us outlaws! ;)
