C++ Salaries - a confirmation for MY personal knowledge

Damnit UNISA never offers any other programming languages as part of a CS degree course The only language that I'm very familiar with is C++ and now I'm in the final year of my CS degree. In other words, I'm screwed

C# is easy to learn, few tutorials here and there and you will be fine, as long as you understand object orientated programming. I studied BSc computer science and was in the same boat c++ was the main language . All depends on the first job you get, in my case it was a SQL developer job, and then I started doing c# stuff as well and now predominantly program in c#

I don't see the problem here. Once you know C++, pretty much any other in-demand language will come really easy unless you're quite doff. o_o

A programmer worth his salt can learn a new language well enough to be able to put it to use in ~1-2 weeks of good study.
