C2Q and RAM

I want to acquire a Core2 Quadro Q6600 and Mushkin XP DDR2-800 4GB CL4 for my rig.

I have a ASUS P5N32-e SLI. Is the Q6600 still available (65nm CPU)? The Q8400 is a 45nm CPU, and that implies I have to do a BIOS update to make it work.

Can someone give some advice please?

The Q6600 CPU may still be available in retail stores and even online but it reached EOF some time ago. Still a good CPU though, especially G0 version
