c4eva PC CFW Files (iHAS???B Drives)

Just flashed my dvd Will see the outcome :) waiting a whole day for this. Epic
 
Works, just don't waste time trying to burn at 4x speed.

Just put OPC off and burn at 2.4 with layerbreak calculation on. this gives a 100% verified burn.

lost 2 disks trying to get 4x to work.

At least now we can play the games with our backups instead of the originals.
 
for all us noobs please
can i put in my original disc in a flashed/updated iHAS drive, and make a backup of it (like kreon drives)?
or is it still just the kreon drives that can do this?

I sadly have to send my drive back. It doesn't want to read any dvd+-R Dl 8.5 discs. I only reads cd's. OMG Factory fault cause I flashed it back to the stock firmware that I made a backup of and it still only reads cd's ...

thanks, damn for a second i thought there was a way around this at last :)
i asked one of the other forumites who helped me to understand that the iHAS is needed in order to backup XGD3 games, so its confirmed that
its to backup backedup games
man if someone can only patch Rocksmith game now to work in South Africa :) :) bloody region locked

eish...unlucky...try to re flash the drive and try different sata port and also different dvd disc.

Very unlucky. I tried it in 3 different pc's and I tried flashing all types of firmware. I think its a hardware problem. Maybe the lense or something. SIGH. Anyway I will be sending it back and I'm sure takealot will credit my account to buy another 1.
 
just made my first successful backup with my Liteon iHAS624B :D, after loosing two disks :mad: i think the x360key is a much cheaper backup path to take.
 
Nigel this method wasnt made for a xkey like feature, this is for guys who want live still, obviously if everyone didnt care bout live we can all go the xkey route or jtag route....@mightymuffin man, done both forza discs and my batman x4 speed, if your verb box has "8x DVD +R DL" on the front or "AZO label" then you should only do it at 4x if it doesnt and says "2.4x....." then u do it at that speed

has AZO and 8x label but just found that 2.4 gives me no errors. Anyway dont see the need of trying different methods to get 4x speed as 2.4 works just as well.

Ridata Dual Layers fails all the time
HP Dual Layers success code for disc CMC MAG-D03-64, very good price for them aswell, it works with OPC on and off with it on it writes around the 4x speed
Verbatim as we all know works aswell

How much you get the HP dual layers for? and from where? never heard of that brand actually.
