Saw some Indeed vacancies for recently qualified CA's starting at around 550-600k. Is this realistic- would it increase after 2- 3 years post qualification experience

Any thoughts or anecdotes will greatly appreciated.

The real answer to this question is: how long is a piece of string?

I could help a bit but I need a lot more info that just "recently qualified".

Are you still in audits? Are you in one of the big 4?

There's plenty of CAs earning R2m+ 3 to 4 years after qualifying and there's CAs earning R650k 10 years after qualifying.

Also makes a big difference where you're based and what the scope of your work is.

I'm 7 years post qual and 9 years post articles and I'm sitting at what is effectively the "lower" market end for CAs. I do however, never work any overtime and my job is almost completely stress-free. I'm very comfortable financially with quite a bit of extra at the end of the month.

From i what i can recall recently qualified was less than 1 year, but some just said recently qualified.

Deloitte was offering 600k, and AGSA 660k- but it's government auditing. Chose deloitte. Would the pay increase only when you make senior management.

Also, is the audit salaries less than that of non audit- financial management, analyst, etc
