Cabinet doesn't back down on e-tolling legislation

agreed - only people I'm giving money over to for for anything relating to etolling are OUTA.
At least I know the money is going to a good cause then vs padding government pockets.

Will be donating as soon as I get to my pc.

yup - 3 months down - donated 50% of what i would have given to tolls
something very fishy about this- "ETC is A MUST".. really???

WHEN are you peeps going to start getting IT

“Apart from the physical infrastructure, the GFIP will result in the operation of a road network that involves the utilisation of ‘intelligent’ transport systems. An important component of the network is the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system. The Bill is essential to enable the implementation of the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system,” Cabinet said in a statement.

The Gauteng story is just part of a MUCH larger system -- the "E-Tolling" is just a small part of it *think NATIS*

It links ALL your private and personal detail to your vehicle -- which will soon be watched 24 /7

Just have a look at what they are doing in the UK today

Have you seen the CCTV that is now installed on so many highways ( as well as the alternative routes )
WHO is watching and WHAT are they watching ??????

In other words it MUST & WILL happen

Save your money -- you are going to need it for the "EVAL-Day"

They can go and **** themselves. Seriously.

SA government is messed up; when it comes to getting more money into their system, they act, with haste, but when its to use the money for people who really need it, they use African time.

So ****ed up really.

e-Tolling = highway robbery.

Used to be that a country's legal system tried to protect you from highway robbers. In 2012, the legal system protects highway robbers from you.
