Ok I have an old PC which is gonna be a file server..

I bought 2 segate sata 7200.11 HDD's which were suppose to have molex 4 pin power connectors on them but they don't..

I am using a sata pci card .. what i am looking for is an adapter to go from 4pin molex on psu to 15 pin sata connector on hdd.

where would i find something like that ??

I also nee dthe red sata cables but IC doesn't have them

I noticed my new SATA drives doesn't come with the molex plug either :-(

Places like Matrix Warehouse or Computer Corp. should have.

Check all 3 above and none of them have any.... might have to buy a new powersupply .. ??

Would a new powersupply work with my old mother board

Celeron 1.3 think its a socket 478

Most computer shops with workshops should have TONS of molex-sata power conversion cables. They should give them you for free, they come with motherboards, dvd-writers etc.

Where are you? i have got lots

in Cape Town CBD.. gonna talk a walk at lunch to another IC and then comupter mania ...

MAybe I will get lucky...

Got luck at Computer mainis.. but the price's where expensive.. 50bucks a cable or connector needed 3.. could have almost bought a new power supply

Shame man, that was a rip off! Seriously, they could just have asked for them at like 5 bucks each. The things come with most SATA dvd writers, hard drives etc.

I haven't seen a SATA hard drive with a 4 pin Molex connector on it ever. I have seen pictures online, but every SATA drive I've worked with in person uses the SATA connectors.

wll project Super duper files sever just cost R150 more but aleast i can finish it tonight..
