For some reason my browser does not cache flash content/videos from youtube and other sites (i.e. newgrounds) even though I have set the website storage setting to unlimited.

Using Firefox 3.6.13; Windows 7 home premium
and allowing 2000mb for cache atm

Not sure what else to put here... any advice :)?

your web browser settings are unrelated to that of flash , go into a youtube video or somthing and right click then go to settings

bleh. yes sorry forgot to mention that.
I've also allowed for youtube to have unlimited local storage on the flash settings and still no avail

This problem is not limited to YouTube videos etc. I've been struggling for ages with insufficient buffering (caching) using the BBC's iPlayer audio streaming and despite putting out several queries, no-one has been able to suggest a feasible way to increase the buffer (which would allow me to buffer an audio stream for, say, 10 or 15 minutes before actually launching my audio recorder to capture the radio programme). The iPlayer's mini-menu settings do not appear to offer any improvement. And for recording BBC streaming audio (rather than downloading their podcasts which do not cover all their programming), there is no alternative to the flash-based iPlayer.

If anyone has any ideas, gratefully received!
