Cake (or death)

It has been time since I put my pastry skills to the test. My plan is to bake a cheese 'birthday' cake. I have a good idea what I wish to make, but I need options. Please share.

Mybroadband is known to have the best artisans or so some allude.

A cheese "birthday" cake recipe must be the best kept secret.

I made a chocolate cheesecake.

Inspired by woolies I once duplicated their malva milk tart cake.

Malva Sponge, then a layer of caramel mousse, then another malva sponge topped off with a milk tart filling and crumbled cookies.

Would need a big enough spring form to hold the fillings while they set.

Pics or it didn't happen.

It did happen, made two, one small, the other standard. I wanted to test how well an air fryer could bake a cheesecake, and it does so surprisingly well, for which I made the small cheesecake. I prefer using the oven for technique; it is just better for baking and standing a cheesecake until suitably cooled for refrigeration.

6 cups milk
1 cup sago
cook forever on slow heat and keep stirring.
let it cool down a bit.
add
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
5ml vanilla

Even better after leaving it in the fridge for the evening.

Looks like you saved some cash baking the cakes yourself which could easily have cost around R500 for the three.
