Hi Guys,

I need to find a formula to use for calculating growth on a certain business.

In this business, each asset costs R10 000. Each asset makes an average income of R75/day. When the total income generated from all assets accumulates R10 000, a new asset is bought. If we started with 5 assets at the beginning of the year, how many would we have at the end of the year?

The problem is coming up with a formula for this.

Any help will be gladly appreciated.

Closest I can get is the following:

y = (4.8408)e^0.0073x

Where y is equal to the total number of units
and x is equal to the number of days.

Thus after 365 days we get

y = (4.8408)e^(0.0073)(365)
y = (4.8408)e^(2.6645)
y = (4.8408)(14.3608)
y = 69.52 ~ 70

Thanks a million Krypt0n1te.

Krypt0n1te,

What type of maths did you use to come up with the formula?
I would like to learn it for future purposes.

talking about business growth, how would you do my business growth? if you don't mind my asking.

first year i had about 42 people.
2nd year went up to about 140 or so.
this year i gained 109 new clients.
