R1000 for a game is sickening. Nobody can afford that.

I call for a month long game purchase boycott !

As soon as the new pricing is confirmed, we don't buy any XBox game for a month regardless of title, price or shop.

Who's with me ?

Well I think you will be successfull, no one will be able to afford the new prices, so the boycott might run a lot longer

Only Mi-digital prices will be so high.

And anyway who buy games in January - recover from December first.

I can be a bit on the crazy side at times but there is certainly no way Im going to pay that much on a game.

Will try and find pre-played/order online instead.

We're going to be buying games over 6 months now.

You're still looking at R180.00pm though :(

They should offer that you buy a game at retail on your account. Minimum 6 months payment plan :D

R1k in one shot ... no way Jose :(

methinks one of you CC jockeys needs to start a site where you order games for the CC-less chaps .... just add a 10% markup and money is there to be made :D

I can see games sitting on shelves until they end up in the bargain bin. Other than that, www.ebay.co.uk here I come!!!! Or I can just ask my brother, who lives in the UK, to sell me his old games... I dont think he hordes games like I do.

Bargain bin might be a problem. If demand decreases, then stores will stock less games, and fewer will end up in bargain bins and on the second hand market, thus the UK based brother solution, where the prices wont be changing.

R1000 for a game is disgusting!

Here the xmas specials are starting and most new releases are going for £19.99 (R300 @R15/1£) for xmas like the new Prince of persia, Far Cry 2 and Mirrors edge for example.

I SAY BOYCOTT TILL THEY DROP YOUR PRICES TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS!
