Call from 0533

Just received a call from the number 0533 :wtf: I didn't answer though and they didn't leave a message.

No, that wasn't the area code. That was the entire number. Phone rings, displays only 0533 and nothing else.
 
It could be from a Telkom manual (nommer asseblief) exchange. There are still 4 or 5 left!!!!

Telkom manual? Ooooh, maybe they wanted to give me free stuff :p
It just seemed like a really odd number so I 'avoided' it. Tried calling it back from a land line but no luck.

Not quite!! It means that a Telkom switchboard operator (from somewhere near Carnavon) is trying to patch you through to a caller in that area. Know anyone from there??

I just had to Google Carnarvon :o so erm... nope, I don't think I know anyone from there.
 
Funny how people are so reluctant to answer numbers they dont recognise. :confused:

If you don't like the person you end up talking to you do have the option of hanging up.

I rather avoid speaking to someone than be rude and hang up on them ;)
 
and then this morning I get a call from 0551 :wtf:
once again... i didn't answer.
