Call quality issues

Dear Vodacom rep.

I have severe call quality issues in New Redruth, Alberton. I've tried 2 SIMs in 2 phones. My cousin is having the same issues in the same area. The issues disappear when we leave the area.

It's like a clicking noise. Sometimes it's from the start of a call (before the other party picks up even), sometimes it only starts after a minute. Affects both incoming and outgoing calls, even calls to 100. Please investigate, report and remedy ASAP.

Cell C is looking damn tempting. They're cheaper, they've given me fewer problems lately, and I can actually use my phone on their network, unlike on your network at the moment. I'll give you till, let's say, Wednesday before porting. Not much time, yes, but I can't use my damn phone at all!

They were contacted on Friday, and only got back to me a few minutes ago. Things move slowly when you can rely on customer's laziness.

Thanks to mobile number portability, it'll be resolved quite swiftly. Not to Vodacom's liking, but I have no loyalty to obligations to them.

Yep, dropped calls, answer the phone when it rings, and there's just nothing. Sometimes try as many as 3 times to make a call that actually connects. Naturally, the phone is blamed. Moving to MTN in December.

Having the exact same issue with MTN.. Move to America.

Yeah not nearly as bad as VC has become. In my area at least. But I suspect the cell networks will never be able to satisfy everyone.
