intengu, any "company" that provide it for you, will charge you an arm and a leg for their so called brilliant package. dont be fooled by salesmen talk, all you need for a shop like that is a decent connection, adsl 512k is what i would recommend for perfect voice quality, and a skype phone, skype dualphone works great but cheaper ones will also, and a avg pc. then you can easily start a shop, you dont need any risk as if customer pay R10 to call he's friend in london, you take 50c from the R10 to pay for the call and the rest you use to pay your rent and beer and everything :) no fansy hardware or anything needed

oh and if you use your line only for skype a std 3gb account should be fine

Online Call shop

Okay this is in response to the call shop idea.I honestly need to start this service here in North America where i connect my friends to Africa for a flat rate per call. And if i can do it from the comfort of my house it will be bonus.Tell me the kind of software i need especially to manage those high volume calls and i don't need to pay alot of money to other people to do this.I do have a number of pple who want to use this service.

Hi, i am working call shop here and it is ok, ,if you want to call your friends in Africa , take qcallshop as voip aprovider they are good at rates of Africa , or buy a gateway from Miro and open an account of one of the VoIP providers and plug it in the internet and make calls , that is what i think will help you.

Hi,

Check out http://www.wanatel.co.za/callshop.php

This offering has no setup cost if you already have the hardware and the managers interface has been developed from extensive market research on the callshop market.

This product is ideal for internet cafes because they can offer their clients cheap international calls, and the internet cafe can make use of their existing internet connection, making extra use of it so that it doesn't lie idle.

It has features that allow you to set your own rates, change billing increment to clients, monitor calls in real time, limit amount clients can call for etc....

The rates of WANATEL are very high. Too high for a competitive callshop IMHO.
