I am posting this here seeing that my Android as well as Microsoft phones are suffering under the same problem.
I wish there was a way that would could get our Service providers to push updates through. Hell I would even go so far as saying I would jump ship just to get updates. I mean come on this OTA update approval crap was purely designed for American markets.
Please no iPhone fanboy comments, I have an iPhone 4 as well and well aware of their updates. Also know that none of the the other phone manufacturers (Nokia, BB) have this issue.
The joke is that the update doesn't even come from them, you still download them from the manufacturers. They also can't tell me they holding the updates back because they are testing them. Testing them for what? The tech savvy among us bypass the update system and are way ahead in version numbers. Android by re-flashing and M$ by Zune disconnect bypass. Hell new phones come with later firmware than the old ones that don't get the OTA updates.
So here is a call to all Service providers, want me to promote your service.... give me normal access to my dam updates the rest of the world is using already.
