I signed up with CallUnion the other day. They have a similar thing to CallDiscount except for the lack of free calls. What is nice though is the per-second billing.
My own experience is phoning a cell phone and land line with it. The quality was not too bad, but there was a half-second delay that was annoying. Comparing cost though - it rocks ;-)
Initially I had a problem connecting to their service and emailed them about it. The response time was truly amazing. I sent them my call logs and they were able to identify the problem and make a few good suggestions too.
If the service remains decent, I may yet support them for a while.
