On the back of the gap cover and planing for little one.

I am considering moving from Essential plus to vital plus. Looking at R6700 for two adults. Biggest draw card here is the 300% hospital cover and most in and out of hospital care covered.

Now I look at discovery and nothing till their executive plans touch that 300% am I missing something here. What would the discovery equivalent be of this plan? Or plan at R6700 a month?

Are there actual advisors who deal with both and can advise on this? I just automatically got camaf didnt really do the comparison in the past :P

Look at which Hospital you actually want to go too and plan around that to a point. External gap cover would be ideal.

Works better for Discovery as they’ll pay for everything in a covered hospital. Most things for little one scans might be out of pocket as doctors want you to claim directly from your medical aid.

3 month waiting period with Discovery if memory serves unless you were at another medical aid.

Le whut >_< been at my same job for almost 12 years :) Im just toying with moving from Camaf to discovery but that seems to be a bad idea
Discovery isn't that bad. Just a tad expensive and you need to confirm your hospital needs to prevent additional costs ala Gap Cover. I don't have any (thought work covered it) but Discovery paid R250k recently at one of their "covered" hospitals without an issue.

If you can get CAMAF = get it, I've been with them for years, zero issues and I've had some very bad luck with medical issues.. had gap cover as well and never had to use it as CAMAF paid everything everytime, so I cancelled gap cover! Oh and go for the VITAL plan option
