I have checked their website and they only mention that video cameras are not allowed. Will I be able to take my Nikon inside the stadium and take photos ?

Point and Shoot should be OK... massive zoom lenses, etc. could be a problem.

Thanks MickeyD....was thinking of taking my 70-300mm but I presume they will not allow it ? I don't want to take it with me and then at the gates have problems.

@froot : was it normal point and shoot or cameras with zoom lenses ?

Apparently they dont allow wide angle lenses.... so it seems that I will not be allowed to take my 70-300....but maybe I must try my luck

The 70-300 is in no way, shape, or form, considered to be a wide angle lens.

I can neither confirm nor deny that I have in the past offered to carry gear into stadiums for friends sitting in the stands but if you do know a pro photographer who is willing then . . .

I know it is not a wide angle lense.....when I phoned them the person who I spoke to asked me what lense I have and when I mentioned 70-300mm they said it is not allowed....that is why I'm going to try my luck and take it in. Maybe the person on the phone is not very informed on what lenses are allowed and which are not.

Unfortunately I do not know a pro photographer there.....

I've taken a 55-300mm into the stands before (at Newlands).

Hide it at the bottom of your bag, under a T-Shirt. (Or tell them it's one of those fancy coffee mugs :D)
