damnit I was wishing for a draw as that give Japan a better chance
For the japs a draw or demark win would not have made a difference.
They have a better goal GD, demark have a -1 japan have a 0 GD so a draw will do for them. They can beat denmark though.

I meant Bafana was able to beat Denmark before and now Denmark beat Cameroon. Clearly the players play differently in the World Cup as always.

The only reason why Bafana beat Denmark in the pre-warmup is due to the fact Danish did not want any injuries... why risk your best players in a warm up when the world cup is around the corner?
We are far too short-sighted when looking for reasons of poor performance in African teams. It is the politicians and soccer administrators who messed it up. Their "It's an African World Cup", in contrast to a South African World Cup, and the idea that an African team first and foremost does not play for their country but the whole continent, has robbed the players of identification with their country. While there may be pockets of excellence in Africa the overall picture still looks pretty dismal. Who can, or wants to fully identify with this? Now, even the pocket of excellence in African soccer is on a downward slope. Identification provides focus and motivation. The lack thereof is evident, and that goes for all African teams.

They played brilliant football the last 20 minutes (Only saw that last 20 odd minutes) They where brilliant, just so sad that they are out now
