so i am in the process of moving from cool ideas to web Africa (warning...i dont recommend doing it!).
And , tomorrow will be the 1st, cool ideas will cancel my account and vumatel didn't transfer my line.
I am working from home...so this is a big issue.
I was wondering, my girlfriend is coming over, and she is also on cool ideas.
can i use her account (and she of course will switch her router off).
will that work ?

Nope, they lock them to the routers identification number.

no.

And I would seriously reconsider your move to WebAfrica. You are about to enter a whole new world of pain and frustration. See if you can find a recent post from anybody on this forum praising them

You’d have to go back to another century to find that.

Let her bring her router along.

Only way to share a ISP account, is between you and your neighbor.

You mean the ont?I never use the router they provide.... Let's see about webafrica
I'm already unhappy about the what's app only support but the vuma thing isn't their fault.

Please don't signup with webafrica , the evidence is on the forums , after sales service does not exist or talking a human being doesn't exist

Vox account could be used between Vumatel and Openserve

yes i realized that....but i also been thinking, i am going to save R150 a month.does it worth having a terrible service? and the answer is yes. i think i logged only 1 ticket with my ISP this year (excluding the cancellation).

of course if the line is slow i will cancel immediately.

I also dont understand web africa, have a proper ticketing system, instead of this whats app stupid chat.
this way i log 1 ticket, and the person can update me when they have an update, now i have to check daily for updates and wait +- 1 hour in a queue and if i don't reply immediately i need to wait again.
not sure how they can possibly think its better then the old fashion ticket system.

by the way, i am still up and running this morning, because cool ideas didn't cancel my account ...i guess thats also bad service but i am not complaining...(please don't cancel me now if you reading this....)

This usually means we did cancel but it's a processing error on Vumatels side. So this may end up in a limbo/premise recreation. Will you give me your cancellation ref?
