Can an iBurst PCMCIA modem work with a desktop computer?

it's more a case of can the adaptor card be found.

Frontosa and Rectron both used to stock the Sunix PTC1010R PCI card:

as I recall iBurst had both, I think I may still have a PCMCIA adapter lying around somewhere, had one for my first iBurst PCMCIA modem years ago
