Been having a look around ......

Like some of the Cybersmart options -- Roll Over / Night Rider / Gigs for Life etc.
However
NOT interested in Debit Orders.

I am currently on DO Faster [ 384 - 3Gb ]

Have my own domain and get email addresses from hosting.

What I do NOT like -- been with them about THREE years -- never used up all the cap -- need an extra 1Gb this month -- have to PAY for it

NO roll over

Have to use up "Blended" first

STUPID billing system

Will leave ADSL line portion with TELKOM -- they fix the lines and I get the bill on the main Phone account.

What I am looking for ....... for which I am prepared to pay cash for a YEAR UP FRONT -- & thereafter if happy.

384 + 4GB + 40 Gb local ( Shaped is fine)
"Blended" and "Local" on seperate accounts -- I split them on the CISCO
[ Maybe this stupidity will soon come to an end ]

"Roll Over"

"Night Rider"

"Valued-Customer" discounts [Gigs for Life]

Do not mind also using ISP supplied email details -- I run multiPOP

Static IP

Via International fibre cable.

Should I say something about "news-servers" ?????

All this equal to or less than the DO broadband * ISP * part of the deal.

Close -- but is it close enough ?????

With night rider, you need your circuit to be with them, have to move it from telkom so it appears on your Cybersmart account. There are also alot of rules with them:
- You have to use the email address they give you, they wont send notices to any other address unless you pay extra.
-You need to send them proof of residence and copy of your ID and all that or they will disable your account in 6 days after applynig for it.
- You cant unplug your router and take it elsewhere..If they find out , they will block you.
- You can't use any other ISP from the location you use their account from. If they detect this, they will throttle you.
- You have to give a months notice if you not going to use them anymore.

Their correspondence with clients are not all that..you send a paragraph, they reply with a one liner...

As soon as their price drops at another ISP, i am moving.

I had 2 friends that got the free routers and both were given broken routers that had to be replaced.
