Can anyone from MWEB help?

Can anyone from Mweb help me? I do have an ADSL line that WA manages and I want to change to the uncapped unshaped Business ADSL that Mweb offers for R2359.00. I called the call centre and got told that Mweb have to apply to Telkom for us to get a new ADSL line.

Why can't Mweb just take over the management of the line?

Then I have another account with WA. That line is managed by Telkom. I would also like to change that account for the business package that Mweb offers.

So, now....do I also have to apply for a new ADSL line now through Mweb?

Why can't you just take over the management of the lines?
 
Be patient, it is South Africa and more important it is Friday, you will be sorted by next week, say about Thursday
 
what did the customer consultant you spoke to say when you asked these questions?
 
yes you posted that. but what did they say when you asked why they can't take over the managemenbt of the line?
 
She says that it does not work that way, that is why I posted on this forum because I am sure that she does not know what she is talking about. What is so difficult about taking over management of a line. WA took over management of my line without me having to reapply for lines. So why can't MWEB do the same?

With the current onslaught of new applications, you should be sorted out pretty quickly. Anything from 3-12 weeks. Don't worry, sit back and relax the web won't run away.

lol. How the hell is 3 months "quickly"?

For someone willing to drop 2k+ per month they should really be hauling ass to help him.

I'm pretty sure you won't get too long delays though since its just an admin thing, not actually line changes.

I am pretty sure they can just take over management of the line. Call MWeb again on 0860 11 22 52, speak to a different consultant and see if they give you the same answer. My line is with Telkom and they sent me a form to simply transfer the line to MWeb.
 
Just spoke to a sales consultant and she says no can do. I phoned 011 340 8400 which is on the
MWEB All Inclusive
Includes your ADSL data and 4096kbps ADSL line rental
R2359 per month
(All you need in one package at a great price)

She says MWEB only applies for lines on clients behalf but the management still stay with Telkom.
It is very frustarting speaking to ignorant sales staff.

Just wish a person from MWEB with a bit of technical savvy and expertise will steer me in the right direction, but I guess it's Friday so they are probably already partying.
