Hi guys. Got a client who's ADSL line is down since yesterday, and now they are trying to connect via their Vodacom 3G modems (3 Dell notebooks, Studio, Latitude and Inspiron, all with built-in 3G cards).

All of them can connect, but there's no connection to the internet. Page cannot be displayed, no email, Skype dead, etc.

What can the problem be? Must I try getting the cards to connect to a different APN?

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Are you able to resolve DNS when connected?

What are the results of typing 'nslookup mybroadband.co.za' at the Command Prompt?

No idea, only gave telephone support at this stage, will take a drive there later this morning to see what it gives. Just want to go there prepared. Thanks.

have you tried disabling the laptop WIFI connection ?

we had a similiar issue recently our ADSL connection was down and then used 3g to connect. We managed to connect, but after that we had no data throughput, and when I disabled my laptop WIFI suddely the internet worked.
