They had a glitch that's all.

WE'RE REALLY SORRY

On the (15th of December 2020) we discovered a small glitch in our systems and payments which resulted in payments not being processed correctly.

The fix required us to temporarily disable payments and EFTs to other banks and institutions.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.

So the guy did an instant eft in front of me. As expected it still took an hour or so to go through. This is a safety feature from absa when you make a payment to a new recipient.

Seller was understanding and was happy for me to contact him once I got the money so we went our separate ways and he collected the item later that day. To be honest he was more trusting than I would have been lol
