Is there anyone selling Hackintoshes in the Cape Town area?

Last company I heard of that sold them got sued by Apple and now they no longer exist. Hackintosh's are easy enough to build yourself though.

edit: Company in question. Plus, I'm pretty sure that the OS X EULA prohibits you from installing it on non-Apple hardware, although I haven't heard of individuals being sued for their hackintoshs.

I've had a look at the information links. If I had more time I would build one, however I'm happy to pay for experience. Is there no-one?

I PM'ed Shardie a few days ago without reply. Is there only one?

i had a look at it for my setup. seems like to much work given i am already running win7 and 4 linux distros. would entail removing some of my drives and ram during the installation process. so while i would have liked to have seen how it works out on my desktop, it just seems we are incompatible.

Greetings SA frankenhackers

I have the delight of having taken over a buddies wee beastie

Of course I immediately stuck in a sound card (mia midi) grabbed the needed kexts
In the rush I of course did not read every forum ;)

And then a logic interface issue occurred ( I #$%%$ upped !)

I ran the script to uninstall the appleHDA And dang went and loaded the VoodooHDA.kext !
Used kextwizard to load it

All was going well then double clicked on

Rebooted

And yes as you guessed the dred grey screen "you need to restart your computer etc. popped up"
Panic panic panic

Aai carumba

Hours of googleing later I discovered this

Yay he thought……….

"to remove the voodooHDA.kext.

Bootup with -s (single user mode)

Done !

then:

/sbin/fsck –fy

*****File SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED ********

So far so good

/sbin/mount -uw /

System/Library/Extensions

I get a message……………….. –sh:System/library/extensions is a directory

i am in cape town please help

m
All good I know the .kext reads as a directory
Then I enter

rm -R VoodooHDA.kext
touch /System/Library/Extensions.mkext
reboot

And it goes into panic attack !

Now if I do the same I am told

No such file or directory ( a good thing I think)
