I have been having issues with MTN for 12 days now. Where i am unable to connect to the internet. No one seems to be willing to help and I know more than the guy picking the phone up about their own product!! I would like to cancel the subscription with them, but need to know if I will be able to do so. I have logged 6 calls with them already and the issue is still no closer to being resolved! I am now sick and tired of phoning after tham and wasting my money on phonecalls, just for them to not do anything. I am paying to have access to the internet, but currently I am not even able to open Google. The connection has been working fine for almost a year now. So it has only been the last 12 days that I am not able to connect

Please can someone let me know what I can do to cancel the contract correctly.

Thank you

You probably can't cancel the contract on those grounds (might help to read said contract). The best you can hope for is a refund for the time you couldn't connect (but that will likely only work if you lose data because you couldn't connect that month). They will probably investigate and see if it is a network issue, if so they'll fix it and you'll be back on the 24 months ride.

If you are willing to pay the cancellation fee then yes you can cancel your contract.

Go ADSL, best choice (if the telkom in your area is good)

Luckily I have a buddy that wants my MTN 3G crap. So he is taking over the contract. The signal is perfect at his house :)
