Is it possible to plug the filter into the router instead of the walljack?
NO!!!. it filters out the extra frequencies that an ADSL line produces so that you can use the telephone at the same time
Your router needs the unfiltered line.

Legit question, Lets say the Router and the phone are 5M from the jack, instead of running 2x5M to the filter/walljack i only need 1x5M and then a short one because the phone is right next to the filter.
Yeah, but the direction thing is a problem.
What would i see should i do this?
Any negative impacts?
No, no negative impact. Just no dial tone. Try it and tell us if it works.
If it works, you can test it like that and see if your line drops when the phone rings.
Not sure you understand what im asking, I dont need a RJ45 extender.
You can try plug a 5M Male - female cable into wall, pots into other end; the router to pots dsl and phone to pots phone.
