I have a Netgear DG2200 which I use as my main ADSL router. I also have an old Billion 800VGT router which I don't use.

Is there a way to use the 2nd Billion router as a wireless network access point connected to the Netgear ?

Thx

You mean: ADSL <---> netgear <--- cable ----> billion <--wifi--> computer?

I've done that at my house but with a slightly different model. Just check on the billion router for DHCP relay and set it to the netgear ip address and setup the wifi as per normal.

EDIT: on billion router you should see a link saying 'dhcp server' on the main status screen. Click there and then select 'dhcp relay agent' and put in the net gear ip. You might have to change the billion's ip first if they both have the same default ip (like 10.0.0.2), so just make the billion 10.0.0.3

Thanks for that ... what I was thinking was ADSL <---->netgear <---> wireless <---> billion <--->wifi
Do I have to connect the netgear and the billion with a cable or is wireless possible ?

I have the following :
Floor 1. adsl------>billion (acts as home gateway, dhcp relay on, separate ip, wireless off)------> TP Link (wireless on)----->
Floor 2. 2nd Billion adsl (Wireless on) modem hard wired to TP Link. Get good wireless coverage on both floors. Also have 2 PCs hardwired direct to Billion on this floor.
So on Floor 1 the TP Link supplies wireless and on floor 2 the Billion provides wireless.
