Can I game on this TV?

You know its a 50" (123cm) screen, right? That's about 73ppi. How far away are you sitting?
 
I wouldn't try getting a tv for PC gaming i had a 30" HD tv... most stuff looked crap... quality wise as the pixels are clearly visible... also do you have a setup that would run 4k... However if you intend to play movies via it then may be worth it...
 
No you can't game on this tv sitting that close, secondly your gpu probably can't handle 4k res at any semi-decent fps.
 
You'll be able to game for a few months, before you go squint...

Rather get a ±27" WQHD Dell UltraSharp. Gaming will be better on lower resolution (higher FPS as mentioned).

IIRC they also have a new ±30" UHD one.

I bought two Hisense TV's from Takealot over a period of one month. The Smart TV arrived with defective wireless (and the smart functions were underwhelming, but I guess that's a personal opinion). In light of that, I decided to downgrade to the non-smart version of the same TV, but ended up returning that too due to the poor user-interface and generally inferior quality.

Yip, this is why I do not recommend cheap brands.

Anyone who says they're as good is smoking something, and probably merely justifying their lower budget purchase.
 
I play all my games just fine on my 60" LG Plasma, you do however (for obvious reasons) need to be a bit further away from it, otherwise you'll need to turn your head to see everything :p No problem with quality as distance dissolves pixels.

Problem for most people is that there is no alternative in that price range. I also wouldn't mind having an Android OS on my Tv.

That's fine, they just mustn't claim it's as good as a branded TV.

Pity they didn't know the truth about plasma, as they could have gotten a better TV for less than LCD.
 
Hello i have a 42" Hisense for 4 years now and i do not regret buying it no problems Full HD Led awesome will buy my second one soon

Get the TV. You'll love it but will need to sit more like 2m away from it.
I gave on a 40" TV n it's great. Can't sit too close though and you'll most probably need to resize your display to fit the TV properly. Easy through nvidia control panel

If the TV is 1920x1080 and you set your screen to 1920x1080 why would it need to be resized?
