I just got my Telkom Bill. And would like to know if I can invoice Afrihost for R84.756?

Total Time just for Afrihost: 2:44:27 which about 80% of the time was holding.

I think that this amount could have been R0 if Afrihost can implement a free voip call to their offices. What to all you other Afrihost Clients think about it? Would make calling Afrihost, just a tab bit easier.

If they could only get more staff, it would not cost this much.

No, enlightened.

I never spoke to two of the last ISP's support I used, ever, great performance.

I moved only for a better "deal".

You. 1 out of how many ISP users in SA? All ISPs have their problems, some more than others.

ordinary costs of doing business, Afrihost don't invoice you

R84 on customer support is a little steep and you could always send off an email complaining that their customer support costs are becoming excessive, doubt you'd get a refund but they might well have provided you with a discount on your next invoice or have topped you up with some data.

Afriguy has replied on this thread and for obvious reasons they cannot set any precedent that would see them covering the cots of people calling them. A toll-free help desk or policy of calling back if the line is busy would be better.

Yes, and when they do, you move, not suffer for months due to some loyalty to them.

Make them learn, vote with your wallet.

How about a toll-free (0800) line for your helpdesk?

I like this idea.

When I was a Web Africa client, they had Skype support. You call then with a Skype, and somehow it was answered and you was able to use the dial pad in Skype to select the Department you wanted to speak too.

Think they integrated Skype with their Switch Board.

And even if Afrihost can somehow host a VoIP server, and only make it accessible to sub's. So that at least when you need to give them a call. You can call then from your PC.

Example is the FNB app, you can call their call center through the app. Which is a VoIP call, and if you have access to WiFi at work or home. You can call for free.
