I am about to move my internet service to Telcom Wimax. Does anybody know if there is a way I can keep the same email address which is provided by mweb.
Thanks.

You would have to still pay Mweb for dailup or something at least or they will cancel your email. Why not get a Gmail or other account. Then if you move service providers you move your email with you as it never belonged to them...

You can use any adsl account on WiMax, so just stick with mweb uncapped on the WiMax.

If you don't want to stay with mweb: Contact mweb for an email only account. Its under R100pm.

That's your punishment for using the "free" email addy provided by your service provider.

Not so free any more is it?

it's time to move to gmail, kellyS.

Then you won't have these issues when changing ISPs.

You can setup gmail to collect your mweb mail for you and when you reply from gmail the recipients will see your gmail address so their replies will go to gmail & not mweb. With this and a notification mail about your address change every two weeks for a 2 month period you can get rid of mweb. Just remember to update your personal details on sites like banking, forums etc where your address is used.

Besides the gmail the host of other free services you have access to for free is really great, google docs, google sync, use google login as id for other sites are but a few of them.

Edit: Mweb charges you a small monthly fee to keep your email address.
