MTN pay as you go has a completely useless service called VMLite.
Basically it sends you a text to say you've missed a call (which is displayed on the 'phone, anyway) and that the call is URGENT (which it mostly isn't) and that the caller (who can't be identified) wants you to call them back (which isn't necessarily true).
How do I switch this piece of excrement off?
And, if I can't switch it off, doesn't this break a few of the consumer laws here in South Africa?
I mean the clear intention of the system is to make sure that the call is connected so that the connection fee is paid; there is absolutely zero value to either the caller or the recipient.
