Can I upgrade earlier with mtn?

Hey there, my samsung d 900 is busy giving up. So I first thought of buying a cheap phone for the remaining time till July, when I'm due for an upgrade.

But isn't it possible to upgrade earlier, and what is the consequences?

You can dial 808 and ask for retentions but be prepared to lay it on thick because this is something they didn't want to do with me and I was 2 weeks away from upgrade

MTN allows you to upgrade in month 21 of your contract. I'm assuming that you took the term as 24 months when you said that you are due for an upgrade in July. If not, you will have to have a very good argument in favour of the earlier upgrade.

That's ridiculous! Here i was hoping i could upgrade earlier and get a Blackberry Storm. Stuff that idea!
