Can my router be fixed?

Hope this is in the right (sub)forum...

I have an oldish telkom router (I think the model is a mega 100w or something like that) that no longer works. When the power is plugged in all it does is flash all the green lights on and off constantly.

Is there somewhere I can take this to be fixed at a cheap price?

Could it be a fuse inside or something?

I wanna get connected to internet but I'm hoping I dont have to buy a router

Cant it used to be a friends router that he was gonna throw away so I thought maybe I could try and fix it

Oh well, otherwise how is this modem? Any good?

Dont you have to take out a contract with them then?

I chose the option sel install and they supplied me with the Mega 105WR for free

So you didn't take the closer plan or the do broadband plan or anything?!

No nothing was only like a year later did I join the Closer option for the free calls lol...

this was like 5 years ago. and last year they stole the cable and still waiting for telkom to replace the cable there. It was at my moms place I have since moved to Kempton park and still using the same router with no issues

I took the closer plan 1 which is only R14 more then I get free calls and free installation. hahaha

Now its just a matter of time before they install the telephone line

They told me 14 days for line installation and 30 days for adsl installation after that.

But I'm guessing it's gonna be a heck of a lot longer...

I was still at school at that stage but they still took my word for it. they are so dumb
