Can Nokia return to its glory days?

The new Nokia 6 looks like a decent phone at a competitive price - could this be the start of a movement which would return Nokia to one of the top players in the phone market?

Also no, they've lost so much market share, they'd have to do something pretty wild to get attention and pull back some share.

They could offer decent Android phones at good prices - like the 6 - and probably generate some cashflow and attention that way, and build up from there, but I think they'd need to do something fairly impressive technologically to really draw sales. That, however, requires development, which requires substantial resources, fiscal and human, and I'm not sure how much of that is available to them.

Depends on the price point.

I think they'll battle to establish the brand in the premium phone arena but they might stand a chance in the entry/mid level price market.

I was a dedicated Nokia user (still got a 500 in the cupboard) until I switched to Android and my last three phones have been trouble free cheap chinese units; Gobii, InnJoo and currently Xiaomi - tough competition imo.

TLTL although I've enjoyed my Nokia N8 Microsoft and Stephen Elop killed Nokia when he became CEO and made the company go with Windows Phone.

It depends on whether their ex-customers will be loyal to the Nokia brand, AND their phones are of much better quality, pricing and ship with little or no bloatware.

Chances are not good, but if Nokia does it right, then they may get to the top. But it is a very difficult market.
