Can one split 1 xbox into 2 TV's for multiplayer?

Sony promised that with the PS3, guess what happened . . . ;)

I suspect it will be a feature on the next gen of consoles - mainly for stereoscopic vision for real VR.

To answer the question with a bit more detail than NO

This is not possible with any of the consoles currently due to the fact that no console is powerful enough to push out twice the amount of textures and polygons required...

Think about it, they make a game that uses all the power of the console to push out a million polygons, now you want it to suddenly push out two million and double up on everything else as well. I doubt it will ever happen to be honest since the developers will always punish the hardware to the max...

When you play split screen the console is already rendering(don’t know what it does) ect for player one and two. So I’m sure they can just send player twos picture thru another TV. But don’t I think it will be available on current gen. Maybe next gen.

I saw at thehub they have 2 screens per player and was wondering if its 1 xbox and 2 screens, now its apparent its 2 xbox and 2 screens

thanks

Correct but it is only rendered in half the resolution.

What he said ;)

They could already send it to two TV's and be half rendered on each but then everyone would whine about it...

I personally would be more than happy with it...

There's no problem with displaying the same thing on two screens, just use a KVM.

I think this generation is just not there yet. I look at games like CoD4 and Gears, and they're "just" there, in terms of enough photorealism and suitable resolution.
