Can somebody please help me understand these results

hi, my adsl speed has been acting up since load shedding on Wednesday.I have a 4mb line and normally get speed results of 3.5mb when i do a test.I have recently been getting disappointing results.I have done a traceroot test but dont understand how to interpret it.thanx

Those traceroutes are confusing. The timed outs are from routers that dont respond to icmp but its odd that none of them respond except the last hop.

At the very least your adsl router from the first hop should respond. :confused:

Have you tried restarting the router? What OS are you running the trace from?
 
Your router is also only synced at 3mb.
Ask telkom and/or your ISP to reset your port and ensure you're on a 4mb profile.

That usually happens when they can't ensure the quality @ 4mb or 10mb

As for the tracert, most companies deny ICMP requests, I know mine does, and I generally disable those on my servers/firewalls everywhere which helps fishing and brute force attacks. No response = Server "doesn't exist" so automated tools will skip trying to break in (among other security measures)

Check the SNR - 18... Line is probably capable of 10mbps according to the router.
 
I reset my router and tried to do a test again but the freakin electricity went off. I will perform the test once power is restored. Thanx
