I have a problem with my cellphone account. I cannot get through to 808 to speak to someone and I have given up trying, it is even worse, by a factor of three, than trying to report an electricity fault to the City of Johannesburg.

My cellphone was cut off last week Friday, for no apparent reason. The account is NOT in arrears I checked this and also checked that the debit order had been paid. The connection was then restored, and on Monday, several times the phone was cut off (i.e. perfect signal, not able to make or receive calls/SMS or do data)
 
No response. Confirms my suspicions.

In the spirit of always providing closure/feedback.

MTN eventually admitted the phone was indeed cut on the day. However they decline to tell me why.
I have launched another complaint to get the answer out of them
 
Its apparent MTN has no service level left at all, especially since taking over MTNSP.

Indeed, they don't even care that I am cancelling the contract because of this.
