Hi all,

I need a favour - neither I nor my parents have DSTV, but my dad really wants to see a program that's coming on this week about South African disasters - the episode is about the sinking of the President Kruger, which he was on at the time.

Could someone please, please record it for me? Either to upload somewhere I can get it, or to send me on DVD?

It's on Kyknet, Thursday 14 January 2010 at 19:00.

I have a media center - can probably record it - and write to DVD ...

Wonder how much a one hour slot on DSTV is worth :p

Just need to remember to schedule it tonight.........

Haha, dirty Pirates.

j/k

Never heard of this ship - guessing I'm too young.

Quality is ok - for a 46" LCD.... my signal here varies depending on the wind.

Running a dual view decoder into the media center using composite cables, satellite to decoder is standard coax.

I'd like to go hi-def, but don't want to loose my media centers tv functionality.

Hi-Def is a heavy start up fee aswell right? i mean just to get the capability to record in hi d

Hmmm - Thursday @ 19:00 on Kyknet says "Tuine en Tossels", then "Villa Rosa", then "Roer" then "Deeltitel Dames"

Anyone care to double check?

That does not sound right - I'll ask my dad to double check.

Okay, looks like it's on at 21:00 and not 19:00 - the program is called "Onthou".

Although I do hope it's accurate; in the little blurb on the MNet schedule webpage they managed to get the date wrong. They say it happened on 11 October 1982 when I know full well it was the 18th of Feb.

Got it - wouldn't worry about DSTV's descriptions :p
