Can Telkom FTTH contract be cancelled?

If you willing to pay for the remaining months then yes, it can be cancelled.

Doesn't work like that.

A reasonable cancellation fee will apply, but the fee may not exceed the outstanding amount.

Any equipment you received from Telkom will have to be paid back though, as you won't be able to return it. (This may include an installation fee if you didn't have to pay it through the contract)

I think you will only be liable to pay for the hardware. Not liable for the outstanding service fees

Just curious. New company offering uncapped Fibre in my estate (via the Telkom network). Also was thinking of renting out house and what to do if tenants did not want to pay for broadband.

I would treat it the same as if they said they don't want to pay for water or electricity, i.e. you must be joking.

just add it to the one rental amount (can't be separated - well that's the line I would take)

Rather try Vumatel if you have Vumatel there. I have Telkom Fibre 10MBPS and I'm only getting 1 MBPS. My router goes off for no reason then you have to phone Telkom every time to get a new password to reset it and it comes with a phone line but every time your power goes off so does your phone. I got the 10MBPS which I was told was for R699 haaa what a laugh I'm paying between R800 and R830 rand per month for my 1MBPS.

I'm going to have a sesure... Your line is 10Mb/s, (mega bit, or rather a mebibit but let's not go there now) which means including tcp overhead you will get about 9Mb/s or 1.1ish MB/s (megabyte).

Not that any of the telkom salesmen actually know the difference but anyway
