I'm considering getting another modem for my dad so that we don't have to fight over the dongle the whole time. Is it possible too clone the data sim (still share the cap) and be able to connect both to the internet?

No, but if you are on the same premises get a 3G Router such as the Netgear MBR624GU, then you can share the data via WiFi.

R900...And the speed would suffer when we both are connected to the internet (can't afford that with 2G)
I was thinking of getting two 2 Gig bundles, but that would of meant loosing a Gig of data per month.

I also want something like this. So that i can use one at home and the other at work with the same cap 5 Gig with out need to carry the dongle up and down.
I dont mind even if i can use only one at a time.
Cell_c, Can you please confirm if something like this is possible?

Something like the DataSIM service from Vodacom, would be most useful here.

On Vodacom DataSIM both SIMs are active at the same time.
MTN has DUAL sim which works the same way. You can even use either sim for voice calls and data and they come off the same account. A once off fee for the dual sim only.

I believe that is the equivalent to Vodacom's TwinSIM where only one of the SIMs can be active at a time.
