Can you smell yourself?

Normally, if I can still smell a new perfume on my body more than an hour after I've applied it then I think it's a bad fragrance for me. Problem is, when I say that theory out loud, it sounds like total hogwash.

Can you smell your perfume/cologne on your body through the day?
 
If it's a perfume I usually use, no, I get used to it. If I can smell it, I know i'm using too much.

If it's one that I don't usually use, yes I can smell it, since I haven't adapted to it yet.
 
Nope, I can't.

But you ladies' perfumes are known to be quite potent. I sometimes wonder how some women can stand that smell all day long :)
 
Several of the senses tire after constant stimulation. The sense of smell classically cuts off within minutes. Because you can’t move away from your own perfume, you become used to it. You may think it has disappeared, but others can still smell it.
 
Only deo i could smell through out the day was Axe Twist (The green one) . That stuff was disgusting!
But i generally find if i like the smell of it then i don't notice it during the day.
 
Sometimes when I use old spice I can smell it the whole day with just a short quick spray of the can and I'm definitely not spraypainting myself with it but with my usual deo I barely smell it at all but my gf says she can easily.

The old spice also smells very nice even after a day of wearing it so it's not that I think it smells gross so I block it out. I think it all depends on your senses.

It's new obviously you will smell it for longer than anything you're used to. If my gf uses a new perfume I can smell it everywhere for days but after a while I don't even notice.
 
I can smell my perfume for a long time after i spray it.

I once saw on TV that if you want to smell yourself you must lick your wrist, blow it dry and then smell it. Apparently that is how you smell.

Replace wrist with another part of the body and :erm:
