Is there any class of Kulula flight where refunds are offered if the flight is canceled by the passenger?

I cannot stay in Umdloti because the accommodation was affected by the recent floods. I do not want to rebook because I need to be there in that location on that date. Since it is not possible any longer, am I entitled to a refund if I cancel the flight?

Not refund but the "pack and go" and "fully loaded" options allow you flight changes.

Good luck with any refund from Kulula  We had to cancel a trip this last December due to a medical emergency with our son and Kulula would only give my wife a 'voucher' which she then had to fight to use and get proper value out of it.

Unfortunately you are unlikely to get a refund from the airline in this situation.

The good news is that your travel insurance should pay out.

Do a provisional change of the tickets with Kulula to a later date - you can always change the date again to the actual date that you eventually decide to travel - at a minimal cost.

Also claim from the travel insurance on the credit card you used to pay for the tickets - phone the number on the back of your card

It's clear when you book. If you choose a refund option, your ticket will be more expensive.

The credit card company says that the airline where I booked the ticket, must refund me if I am unable to use the ticket and want a refund .... so, I guess not! :(

Did you buy the cheapest ticket? Its clear when you buy you cannot get a refund even the most expensive its just free date changes.

They further mentioned that paying with a credit card for domestic flights does not provide any flight insurance.

From my understanding Credit Card companies only provide travel insurance for international flights.

Travel insurance should be an additional expense taken from a travel agent or travel insurer. I know Kulula offers Travel Insurance, but I do not know whether that cover trip cancellation due to an issue with accommodation.

Most cc dont give local travel insurance and its unlikely that it was taken out

Yeah, I never said from the credit card company.

Yeah, I never said from the credit card company.
Actually im referring to automatically applying.

When booking international flights many CC grant automatic basic travel insurance
