Here is the prescribed form you need to cancel your TV Licence.

It's unbelievable how much distrust the SABC has in people.
I have to provide less proof of income/expenses to SARS than I have to cancel a TV licence.
Why can a simple signed form emailed/faxed/posted not be enough. Surely that will hold up in court.

They should add an option "I am a cordcutter" - "I permanently disabled the tuning device because all my media consumption is via the internet and I haven't watched broadcast TV in 5 years".

I seriously didn't even bother with ducts for an antenna when I renovated my house and haven't even considered/missed it since.

But I still pay my TV license :-(
