Canceling a service contract before contract expiry date?

If you already own the equipment, then take out a service contract for x number of years and want to cancel before said number of years, is a 30 day notice sufficient or will you be liable for the service fees up until the end of the contract?

i would think that a 30 or 60 day notice should suffice as the equipment was already yours before.

you might have to read the Ts&Cs.

also was the contract signed pre or post CPA?

Pre CPA.

The text in the contract sent to us is so tiny and blurred, you can't read it.

The contract has about 14 months left on a 5 year contract.

I think you would still be liable for the service fees until the contract expires, that's the point of a service contract.

Contact them to receive a readable copy of your contract...

Ask them to maybe send it to you in word, PDF, PP.

That way you can enlarge the font & view it on screen.
