Hi everyone.

I am not going to continue with Iburst next year for obvious reason!

What should I go for?
ADSL is not a option as I use my connection between home and work .

I was thinking of Telkoms simular wireless service?

And one try it ?

HUH??

Are you talking about WiMAX? That definitely aint an option for you. WiMAX involves getting an antenna-modem unit bolted onto a mast on the roof. Definitely not portable.

If you want something that you can carry around with you then you should be looking at 3G/HSDPA from Vodacom or MTN.

ya... I reached my works' 3g cap without knowing it... and I got smacked with a HUGE bill :(

If you're only getting it in a couple months maybe when the pigs get vertigo Neotel will be offering consumer services.

They will be using a similar setup to iburst from the consumer side (obviously the actual technology used is very different).

Yea, would suggest looking at 3G - but be careful not to go over your cap... :D

You could buy the modem cash and then go the prepaid route. Just load enough airtime for 1 bundle and then load more when your bundle runs out.

MTN and Vodacom's pricing are very similar, except maybe MTN is a bit cheaper on smaller bundles. Vodacom's 3G coverage is better AFAIK.
