Hi I have been getting increasingly frustrated with Mweb every second that goes by. Frequent speed drops, price increases and non-existent customer support has led to cancel my subscription. However doing is proving to be impossible. There is nowhere on their site or app that allows you to cancel. No support lines are answered or even ring. The online chatbot does not respond. I would just like to find out how am i suppose to cancel my subscription if there is no working avenue afforded to customers to do so

Not allowing you to cancel is definitely a tried and true customer retention method

I am just as fed-up with mweb. You cannot call them and you cannot use their chat facility. Does anybody have an email address for them?

I went through this last month for a friend. Firstly, send a email to [email protected]. The chatbot does work but they take forever to reply. Log on in the morning when you get to work and just stay online until they answer. When the inevitable "we tried phoning you but you didn't answer and we can't cancel without telephonic confirmation" message comes through jump on the chatbot again and ask them to phone while you are online.

It took us almost two weeks to get it cancelled.

Also make sure you do it early, because you need to give them a months notice.

I wrote to the email addresses here, and gave them written notice cancelling my agreement effective xxx date. Sent with account number, ID number etc.

[email protected]
[email protected]

Just make sure you provide enough notice.

I would email the above addresses with the effective date and stop paying.

If you paying via a debit order, stop the debit order.

I didnt get that much trouble canceling my mweb contract in 2023. What I did was call them waited 15min for someone to pick up told them I want to cancel my contract in 2 months they set a date on the last day and when it came to that it was immediate. If youre with octotel it should be no hassle if Mweb just do what theyre told
