Canceling SLOW Mweb uncapped, please recommend an alternative

Anyway, by transferring your line to them they give you a rebate on your ADSL rental. If you cancel your services later on they will transfer the line back to Telkom without any hassles. Why would you want to pay more for something if you can pay less?

Don't these guys re-sell Cybersmart? How can you guarantee there won't be any hassles? Do you still have to wait the 30 days? (Then the extra week or two between getting your line back onto the Telkom system)

Also, the most I've used in a month is 412022.13MB in a month on MWeb.

They use the Cybersmart backbone. You not have to wait for 30 days to transfer your line back to Telkom.

@ZeroCool: So Cybersmart has a 30 day cancellation policy, not their resellers?

No but it depends on the reseller. Keep in mind that when you sign up directly with Cybersmart, you have to adhere to their Terms & Conditions. When using a reseller you have to adhere to the Terms & Conditions of the reseller. Take for example the Terms & Conditions of Branded Internet and TRL Technologies and compare it to Cybersmart - it differs quite a bit.

Don't you find that odd that.Cybersmart has that rule and it doesn't enforce it on the resellers?

Large companies such as IS and Cybersmart only offer long term reseller agreements, normally nothing less than 12 months whereas normal user accounts works on a monthly bases. That is the only reason I can think of. Perhaps someone can shed more light onto this for us?

Does not want to associate itself with uncapped until it has stabilised, therefore the resellers are taking the risk and doing the dirty work... (Ultimately Cybersmart can blame the reseller – not saying Laurie would)

ps Reuben of TRL is very accommodating – good guy, would recommend his service without hesitation.

Have an account with them - but like IS, MWEB, etc. Intl. speeds does not come close to WebAfrica and the only local site I use is MyBB; so it is pointless if I can't acheive speed of 8.5 Mbps.

Are you talking about their capped or uncapped offerings?
