Has anyone canceled an account with TelkomInternet and kept the ADSL line? I've got a Do2 package and want to cancel it but keep my line, can anybody suggest the best approach?

I cancelled my TelkomISP account this month; just called 10215 and informed them that I want to cancel my ISP account - be very explicit about this because you don't want them cancelling your ADSL line. Also, if you haven't used any of your bandwidth allocation, they will cancel it with immediate effect - no need to wait for 30 days.

I changed a while back from Do, but called 10219 and changed to a Closer Plan (2? Can't recall). Often it takes immediate effect, if you haven't used any of the bundle... it did for me and I never lost a moments connectivity.

OP, if u cancelled after the 15th of the month check on the next months statement that they did indeed refund you for June's TI subscription. I speak under correction but their billing cycle is from the 15th till the 14th of every month for everyone (AFAIK) and they wont necessarily refund you in the next bill. U might have to fight for that refund as I am still doing now[1]... Phoning them hasnt helped me because the idiots that answer have no clue, and sometimes they hang up on you or leave u on perpetual hold. I've posted a complaint via the web form now and hopefully they will get back to me.

[1] 2 months later...

So if you stuck in a contract are there penalties?

if you signed a 2 year contract then yes you will most likely have to pay in some amount to cancel the ISP portion.

again be very clear that you want to keep the adsl line, but not the data portion.
